Arvato Services installs Océ JetStream 1000
Media services suppliers diversify production of
individual full-color mailings and transaction documents
Venlo, The Netherlands, 25 October 2010 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced that Arvato Services, effective immediately, is using the new Océ JetStream® 1000 for the production of individual full-color mailings and TransPromo documents. This continuous feed inkjet system is suitable for both sophisticated mailing campaigns and TransPromo applications. Although in the past information could only be produced in digital b/w print, a high-quality color printing system such as the Océ JetStream can place customer-specific advertising messages in full color on bank statements, telephone bills or insurance documents.
Personalized mailings in full color
“The advantages are immediately obvious”, says Oliver Engelking, Business Development Manager Mail & Document Solutions at Arvato. “Our customers can profit from the new service immediately, since we now have the possibility of printing personalized mailings utilizing full-color continuous feed printing without having to preproduce the graphical elements in offset. This makes us considerably more flexible, faster and less expensive – in spite of bigger digital print runs. Moreover, the print quality of the Océ JetStream is very good.”
Océ JetStream handles up to 8 million pages per month
The Océ JetStream 1000 is one of the most flexible full-color printing systems in the continuous feed area for transaction printing, direct mailing and TransPromo applications. The system operates with a processing speed of 75 meters (or 1,010 DIN A4 pages) per minute and is designed to handle monthly printing volumes of six to eight million pages, with production peaks of up to 30 million pages. The Océ JetStream 1000 is the first full-color inkjet printing system in its class that permits face and reverse printing across the entire printing width in a very compact printing tower. In addition, the system can be field-upgraded step-by-step from 1/0 printing through to full-color and on up to 6/6 color applications.
“We’re delighted that the Océ JetStream 1000 is in use at Arvato Services,” comments Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President, Océ Production Printing. “When one of the largest suppliers of media services in the world takes such a strategic business decision, it’s a powerful proof of the market-leading performance of our inkjet technologies and systems. I am convinced that the future of cross-media communications in high-speed variable data environments belongs to digital full-color continuous feed printing – whether for premium direct mail or TransPromo applications.”
